Leeds United wrapped up two big deals in the summer window as they continue to prepare for the new season. Fans are anxious for the club to continue to press forward on other targets.
Things have gone a bit quiet after the club signed Harry Wilson and Tarik Muharemovic.
Both deals were wrapped up quickly; only Wilson’s announcement was delayed. With Muharemovic, the transfer was officially completed just days after the news broke about the transfer.
The Whites have now gotten some much needed quality in two areas of the pitch.
Wilson will no doubt slot in on the right hand side of attack, and can play behind the striker. Last season, the options in those roles failed to produce any quality in games.
Muharemovic also comes in as a direct replacement for Pascal Struijk who left to Brighton.
Leeds United end pursuit of midfielder
Many Leeds United insiders have reported that the club’s priority this summer is Shea Charles.
The Southampton midfielder is one they have been after since the window opened. However, the Saints are holding on to Charles, and want a higher fee than Leeds are offering.
Two bids have been rejected so far, but the 49ers will keep pushing.
According to Portuguese outlet A Bola, Ipswich Town have expressed interest in signing midfielder Hidemasa Morita. The Japanese international was strongly linked with a move to Elland Road.
But reports have since emerged that the Whites have moved on and are focused on other targets, like Shea Charles.
Morita is a free agent after leaving Sporting CP this summer and has his eyes set on a move to England, with Premier League football his priority.

49ers are after different midfield profiles this summer
Leeds United are pursuing Shea Charles, as they are focused on bringing a more dynamic profiles in midfield.
Charles has shown that he can defend big spaces, carry the ball well and also has an eye for goal. He played in a variety of roles for club and country this past season and could do same with Leeds.
The other target is Julian Brandt; the Whites want to add a playmaker in the middle of the park.
Brandt can play behind the striker and deeper in midfield as a number eight. Daniel Farke getting these two profiles would immediately elevate how well they play in the upcoming season.
Strange Wilson took a year to sort him out, and anyone surprised about Charles, whose the next link we are crossing off Trafford? Really committing to improvements, and still no Trafford or Brandt! 🙈
Here we go again, it seems that Shea Charles is this years player that we will chase the whole window and fail to get.
Charles should put his foot down to insist on the move to Leeds. He will develop in the best possible way under a very progressive regime at the club. The team spirit and backroom staff at Leeds are perfect for a young player like Charles to develop at his own pace. Fulham would cut his development short. There are several reasons why Phillips diminished after moving from Leeds – Charles is in this bracket. I hope he considers this well.
