Leeds United have a huge clash against Manchester City this weekend, as the season draws closer to an end. The Whites have not yet secured their safety in the competition, and have to take every game as a final.
Last weekend saw Leeds managed to pick up a huge point at Villa Park; many would say the team deserved all three points with how they played. Pep Guardiola and Manchester City will also come into this game looking for maximum points. They are behind Arsenal with a game in hand and cannot afford to drop any points in the title race.
The last meeting between both sides was an exciting game that needed a last minute finish at the Etihad. City took a two goal lead just before half time, with the game looking done and dusted after the first period. Daniel Farke threw caution to the wind, bringing on an extra striker to try and change the game. It worked to success, as the Whites managed to level the scores. Phil Foden scored a late winner to deny Farke’s men from leaving the game with a point.
Leeds United handed huge boost after injury news
Leeds fans will have a lot to smile about ahead of this weekend after what Daniel Farke said in Thursday’s press conference. Gabriel Gudmundsson will be available for the game on Saturday, which will be a huge boost for the home side:
“Gabi is recovered, good news,.Just Noah is out and will miss this game. All the others are ready, in training and in a good mood and want to play.”
It looks like the Whites will have close to a full squad in a crucial game against Manchester City. Pep Guardiola’s side on the other hand, still have some long-term absentees who will definitely miss the game.

Whites can pull off the impossible
Just like the Aston Villa game, many will consider this an easy victory for Manchester City. But that has not been the case at Elland Road for a while; the Whites have a strong home record and have managed to get results against other top sides like Chelsea and Liverpool. The club play much different football under the lights at Elland Road, that has seen them pull off upsets. Pep Guardiola and his men will have to be very wary, considering that all the pressure will be on their shoulders as the chasing pack in the title race.
