Leeds United received some huge news this week as one of their key players committed to a new deal at Elland Road. Ethan Ampadu will remain a Leeds player for the next four years.
The midfielder is one the club can now tick off the list of their priorities heading into next season. A new contract shows that the Whites are keen on keeping Ampadu past this year.
Leeds have other issues to resolve before next season begins.
Daniel Farke is yet to hold talks over a new contract, with many believing he will sign a new deal.
Karl Darlow’s deal also ends this month, which has sparked conversation about if the club will keep him around going into next season. The veteran stepped into goal mid season and never looked back.
Leeds United star tipped for Elland Road exit
At the end of this past season, Leeds United chief Paraag Marathe addressed the fanbase over the plans heading into next summer. He placed emphasis on the financial regulations.
Clubs will move from Profit and Sustainability Rules (PSR) to Squad Cost Ratio (SCR). In Marathe’s statement, he mentioned that the team will have a logical approach to the upcoming window.
This indicates that Leeds will allow departures in order to make big moves.
One player who has been tipped to leave Elland Road is Largie Ramazani. The winger spent last season on loan at Valencia, with the Spanish club said to be open to a move.
Former Valencia goalkeeper Juanlu Mora thinks Ramazani will be the key factor if he is to move to Spain.
“From what I know, Ramazani is desperate to stay.” he told La Banda de A Punt (via El Desmarque).
“In these kinds of transactions, the player has a lot of say.
“He’s happy here, he’s happy in the city, he loves the weather, his friend Sadiq is here.
“That’s why I’m telling you that, in these kinds of transactions, the player has a lot of say.”

What will Leeds decide to do with Largie Ramazani?
As things stand, no outlet has confirmed Leeds United’s plans for Largie Ramazani.
The winger has suitors going into this summer, including Valencia and most recently, Norwich. Per reports, he had offers to leave on a permanent deal last summer, but chose to stay.
Leeds eventually loaned him to Spain, where he had an amazing second half of the season.
The 49ers now have to decide what to do with the winger this summer. He could play a part in next season, given the team’s lack of productive wide players.
Selling him is also an option, with teams ready to pay good money to sign the Belgian.
