This week, reports emerged about new contracts at Leeds United. Heading into the summer, a number of important players were nearing the end of their current deals.

Not to mention that Daniel Farke is set to hold talks with the 49ers over an extension. The Leeds boss was set to do that in the middle of the season, but pushed it to the summer.

He successfully guided the Whites to safety on their return to the top flight. But Farke is not alone, some key players in the team are up for contract renewals.

Karl Darlow’s contract expires later this month, and after the season he has had, the club may look to give him a new deal.

Pascal Struijk is also entering the final year of his contract at Elland Road. The defender was linked with a move away from the club last year, and has gained many suitors after this season.

Ethan Ampadu signs new Leeds United deal

Ethan Ampadu also had an outstanding season for Leeds United in the Premier League. The club captain has been a leader ever since arriving at Elland Road a few years ago.

He was a standout in the Championship, and has shown that quality at a Premier League level too.

Ampadu’s games this season had caught the eye of some clubs around the league, but this latest news will put Leeds fans at ease

According to Beren Cross of The Athletic, Leeds United chairman Paraag Marathe has confirmed that Ethan Ampadu has signed a new deal to remain at Elland Road until 2030.

49ers have to solve other contract issues

Leeds United have showed their ambition by signing Ethan Ampadu to a new long-term contract. This most likely means that the team will keep their captain and have no plans of selling him.

Now the club have a few more key deals to wrap up ahead of next season.

The 49ers should give Daniel Farke an extension, considering the great work he has done this past season. This will also show that the team are ready to back him in the market.

When it comes to Karl Darlow, the best option would to give him a new deal. Leeds could end up with just one goalkeeper under contract this summer, so keeping Darlow is a great choice.

Pascal Struijk has also proven to be a key member of this first team, giving him a deal that reflects that status would also be a great decision.
