Leeds United booked their place in the third round of the EFL Cup with a comfortable 2-0 win over Nottingham Forest at the City Ground tonight.
Two second-half goals from Dan James and James Justin ensured that Leeds progressed to the third round of the domestic cup competition this season.
This is the second time Leeds have defeated Forest in three days. They beat the home side in their opening league game on Saturday before getting the better of the Midlands club in the cup as well.
Daniel Farke will be delighted with the way his team have started the season, and he will now focus on getting a result against Brentford at Elland Road on Sunday.

Nottingham Forest would be disappointed after that performance. While Oliver Glasner argued after Saturday’s defeat that his team deserved more in the league game, there can’t be any such excuse this time around.
Forest legend Brian Laws has torn into the Forest performance and insisted that nothing was right about what they did on the pitch against Leeds tonight.
He insisted that Leeds have won two games at the City Ground in three days and they didn’t really have to work that hard to get those results in the Midlands.
Brian Laws said on BBC Radio 5 Live: “Forest have got a long way to go to get things right here.
“There are a lot of things not right at the moment; they lack ideas, cohesion and the ability to pass to one another consistently.
“There are a lot of things wrong tonight that Glasner will not be happy about because that is not good enough. Leeds have come here on two occasions and been comfortable; they haven’t had to work hard at it.
“Forest have to take accountability for that.”

Leeds will hope to have an improved squad before the end of the window
Supporters hope that the improved start to the season will inspire the owner to end the transfer window with a bang in the coming days.
Leeds are still in the market for a goalkeeper, striker and one more left-back. The Whites are also open to signing one more centre-back and a winger.
The Whites have been knocked back in their efforts to sign Mykhailo Mudryk, with Chelsea rejecting two loan offers from the Whites.
However, Leeds still hope to revive the talks before the transfer window closes on September 1.
