Sunderland boss Regis Le Bris said his side could have earned more than a 0-0 draw against Leeds United today at the Stadium of Light.
It’s safe to say the encounter between Sunderland and Leeds in the North East today wasn’t for the neutrals, as the difficult conditions didn’t suit any coherent style of football.
Both defences played resiliently to keep their opponents at bay, and they are probably happy to escape with a point.
Leeds squandered a chance to win against a struggling side on the road while Sunderland managed to end their four-game losing streak in the Premier League.
Regis Le Bris feels Sunderland deserved more

The Sunderland boss admitted that a point against Leeds is a positive result, given his side’s current form and how difficult the Whites have been this season.
He believes his team are still used to playing in Europe and the Premier League, and it is a challenge he wants his side to embrace this season.
However, the Sunderland manager believes his side deserved more than just a point for their performance against Leeds.
Le Bris told Sky Sports: “It’s a positive [point]; the more positive [thing] is the way we played with intensity and togetherness – we were Sunderland today.
“It’s still a long journey. We know with this busy schedule, playing in Europe, playing in the Carabao Cup, it’s a new challenge for us, and we need to embrace it.
“I think we showed this afternoon that we are in this challenge; we want to embrace it and be ourselves, and we probably deserved a bit more today.”
