Joel Piroe was on the scoresheet for Leeds United in their first pre-season friendly against Wrexham. The Whites ended up losing the game 3-2 to the Championship side.
Daniel Farke admitted that the game was a good run out for his players, who just arrived in the US.
Piroe spoke in a recent interview that he hopes to stay and make his mark as a Leeds player. Last year, he was limited to cameos off the bench and cup games despite being the top scorer in the promotion campaign.
There has been interest in Piroe since the start of the year, but there is nothing concrete.
Leeds United target set for imminent exit
Many fans will be hoping that a priority for Leeds United this summer will be at center forward.
Dominic Calvert-Lewin carried the goalscoring burden for the club for most of last season. Noah Okafor and Lukas Nmecha chipped in, but in tight games it was obvious Farke’s side lacked quality.
This week, Graham Smyth has mentioned that Levante striker Carlos Espi is high on the list of targets at Elland Road.
Journalist Matteo Moretto has also reported that the 21-year old is on his way to the Premier League. No specific club has been mentioned, but the likes of Ipswich Town have been linked.

Spanish outlet A Punto Esportes has added more information on Espi’s future on Monday.
According to them, the striker will join a new club soon, and that the transfer is imminent. The club he is moving to is completely unknown and the fee will be one of the highest Levante has ever received.

Could his next destination be Elland Road?
Espi scored 12 goals in 27 games for the Spanish side in all competitions.
He is the perfect profile for a modern striker – tall, fast and good in the air. The 21-year old has been making waves following his performances last season with the La Liga side.
According to Graham Smyth, Espi is on Leeds’ radar but he added that the club have no plans of a move at the moment.
Daniel Farke could definitely do with another striker going into next season. He fits the mould of what the club has in Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Lukas Nmecha and could compliment them in attack.
And for the reported release clause of £21 million, he is well within the 49ers’ range.
