Leeds United had one of the best attacking units in the Championship last season. But after winning promotion, many changes were made to the setup to prepare for the Premier League.

Daniel Farke decided to revamp the personnel who delivered the goods in the Championship; in the summer window Mateo Joseph and Largie Ramazani were allowed to leave on loan. Joel Piroe, who was the club’s top scorer last season was also relegated to a bench role early in the campaign.

Some Leeds United fans were confused about the decisions over some players, but their replacements have performed to a good level. Noah Okafor, Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Lukas Nmecha have proved that they have enough quality to be in the top flight.

Largie Ramazani impresses on loan

Ramazani’s exit was perhaps the most surprising in the summer, he made the squad in the first game only to be absent in the next game. The Belgian has since seen himself end up in Spain with Valencia. His start to life in La Liga was very promising, as he provided an assist on his first start. Injuries and fitness problems sidelined him in the middle of the campaign.

But his return to fitness has seen Valencia pick up some key results in recent weeks, and manager Carlos Corberan has praised the Leeds loanee:

“In football the past does not exist, last week is already past, there is the present,”

“And in this case we have players who when they have not been playing, like Ramazani, because they have always been working.

“Just like now, players who are not playing continue to work hard so that when the opportunity comes the player can take advantage of it.

“And in that sense, the commitment of the Valencia squad is very good.”

Valencia stance on Leeds United star revealed

Ramazani’s recent form seems to have revived discussions over a permanent transfer to Spain in recent weeks. The winger was out for a while with injury problems which did not really allow him to play. But since then, he has gotten into some form and rhythm and is producing.

According to Estadio Deportivo, Valencia will consider a permanent deal. Unfortunately for them, there is no buy clause in the current loan agreement. This means any deal will have to be negotiated between both sides. It is reported that Leeds United are not keen to sell, but things can change when the summer window comes around.
