Leeds United have a list of targets as the window draws closer, and the 49ers want to make some deals before the new season. The club have officially confirmed the capture of James Trafford.

It is believed that the club could add up to four more players in the coming weeks.

At the same time, Leeds could offload a number of first team stars. This week, HSV have strengthened their push to sign defender Sebastiaan Bornauw and there is confidence that a deal can be reached.

Bornauw’s exit could change plans, and force the Whites to sign another defender.

Clubs are still interested in Leeds duo Joe Gelhardt and Largie Ramazani. The two players were left out of the trip to the US and are expected to leave Elland Road in this transfer window.

Leeds United star makes transfer demand

This week has been a crucial one when it comes to Leeds United winger Largie Ramazani.

He was left out of the squad for the US tour, and has yet to return to Thorp Arch for pre-season. The winger seems to be holding out for a summer transfer, but nothing concrete has been confirmed.

It was reported on Monday that multiple sides are interested in a move for the Belgian.

Valencia are still keen on signing him, and have been actively pursuing him since the summer window began. Ramazani is said to have already informed players at Valencia that he wants to join the La Liga side.

He has also made it clear to the Leeds hierarchy that he wants to leave.

According to AS newspaper print edition via Sports Witness, Ramazani has requested to leave Elland Road. It has not been confirmed if Leeds United have accepted his request.

But the club want to get rid of him, and the Whites are still firm on their valuation of him. The winger is said to be ‘pushing hard’ to leave, but the 49ers want it on their own terms.

Leeds are making the right decisions this summer

For a long time, fans at the club complained that there were a lot of unwanted players and contracts.

Since that spending spree in the summer of 2023, Leeds have had players on big contracts, and most were not in first team plans.

This summer, the 49ers have done a great job of ‘clearing house’. They managed to sell Pascal Struijk and Isaac Schmidt, and they have offloaded big contracts like Jack Harrison and Max Wober.

Illan Meslier also left the club on a free transfer, ending his long stay.

Leeds will have a very successful window if they can cash in on Ramazani and Gelhardt in the coming weeks.
