Leeds United boss Daniel Farke tends to make key decisions in the summer before the season begins. He took serious measures last year, and did the same this time around.
Farke left out Max Wober, Largie Ramazani, Jack Harrison and Joe Gelhardt from the trip to the US.
All of these players were expected to leave Elland Road in this transfer window. And so far, two of them have left.
Max Wober joined Schalke as a free agent, and Harrison went to the MLS.
Largie Ramazani and Joe Gelhardt are also attracting interest with just a few weeks left in this current transfer window.
Last year, Farke informed Patrick Bamford that the striker was not in his plans for the new season. This lead the veteran to mutually terminate his deal.
Chris Wilder lands another Leeds United star
Bamford was a free agent for a few months before joining Sheffield United on a free transfer.
He was not the only former Leeds United player to make the switch to play under Chris Wilder. In January, Sheffield United signed Kalvin Phillips, Joe Rothwell and Leo Hjelde.
The Blades did not make the playoffs, but they avoided relegation.
Wilder’s side are looking to strengthen this summer as they target a higher finish than the 13th place they achieved last year.

Sheffield United have made a major move, adding Kalvin Phillips on loan for the season.
Ben Jacobs and Danny Hall confirmed the huge addition to Chris Wilder’s side for the upcoming campaign.
The Manchester City midfielder was on loan with the Blades last year, but only managed to play three games before his season ended with injury.

What are Leeds plans for midfield?
News this week suggests that Shea Charles will complete his transfer to Fulham.
Charles was a major Leeds United target at the start of the window, but the Whites did not want to pay Southampton’s £30 million valution.
Leeds also missed out on Julian Brandt, who joined Ajax on a free transfer.
The club are eyeing a move for a central midfielder, and an attacking midfielder as the window draws to a close. The 49ers have to step up their efforts to boost the depth in that area of the team.
