Leeds United are back in Premier League action this weekend after booking a place in the FA Cup semi-final. Daniel Farke’s men now have to shift focus to their relegation battle.

As things stand, Wolves and Burnley are most likely to go down, leaving one spot in the bottom three. West Ham, Spurs, Forest and Leeds are among the teams fighting to avoid going down to the Championship. It is going to be a very intense race among these teams, and every point will be crucial. The Whites’ remaining eight fixtures will see them face West Ham and Spurs in what will be must-win games at the bottom of the table.

Farke’s side will start their run of games on Monday night, where they visit Michael Carrick’s Manchester United side at Old Trafford. Fans will be hoping to kick off their relegation battle with a huge result.

Leeds United relegation rivals suffer injury blow

Tottenham have confirmed that Ghanaian forward Mohammed Kudus will be out for the rest of the season with injury. Multiple reports indicated that the 25-year old was set for a return to first team action this week. Kudus trained, but a new problem was discovered and now the player will miss the rest of the campaign. He will be further assessed by a specialist and could need surgery. It is a huge blow for Spurs as the forward joins a long injury list including players like Ben Davies, Rodrigo Bentacur and Dejan Kulusevski.

Things going from bad to worse for Tottenham

Spurs have had a very woeful season; they thought Thomas Frank was set to lead them to a new era. But even after a decent start to the season, things fell off near the end of last year and the club had to pull the plug. They were dropping down the table at an alarming rate, and hired Igor Tudor to steady the ship.

But the former Juventus boss was not much better; his time in charge saw him win just one of his seven games. The Croatian parted ways with Spurs, who have now hired a third manager this season in Roberto De Zerbi. The Italian will now need to quickly adapt, which will not be made easier due to the absence of other key players in the squad including Kudus who has been ruled out for the season.
