The season is far from over, but Leeds United already have one eye on the future. This summer will be a very important one for the club, just like the transfer window last year.
The 49ers have gotten a chance to see how this group of players have fared in the Premier League, and have started identifying areas which may need improvements. Per reports, the Whites could sign a new striker this summer; with Joel Piroe looking like he is on his way out of Elland Road, the team need another option to provide competition for Calvert-Lewin.
The goalkeeping situation is another question mark, as Karl Darlow, Alex Cairns and Illan Meslier are all out of contract in the summer. This will leave Lucas Perri as the only first team keeper under contract.
Leeds United eye Brazilian playmaker
Per global transfer news expert Ekrem Konur, Leeds United are monitoring Southampton star Leo Scienza. The playmaker has been a bright spot in their campaign this season and is already getting interest from Premier League sides. Fulham, Tottenham, Aston Villa and Everton are all said to be in the race with European sides also keeping an eye on the 27-year old. Scienza has 17 goal involvements in all competitions this season, and will be a very interesting prospect when the summer window arrives.

Daniel Farke could finally land the key to his attack
It has been no secret that Daniel Farke has been pursuing a creative player to compliment his Leeds United team for a long time. The club missed out on the likes of Bilal El Khannouss and Gus Hamer in recent seasons. Farke ended up using Brenden Aaronson in that role, and even though he did provide some value, he was not what the club wanted.
Leeds looked to have finally solved this creativity issue by bringing in Facundo Buonanotte, but the midfielder has been a huge disappointment. After his first few appearances, Farke had enough and dropped him from the matchday squad. Many think the Argentine will return to Brighton in the summer, which would open the door for Leeds to sign a playmaker like Leo Scienza. The Whites need more attacking quality in the side, and a decent player could make a huge difference.
