Leeds United made Harry Wilson their first arrival of the summer transfer window. Since the window opened, the former Fulham man has been the only signing to arrive at Elland Road.
Reports suggest that the Whites are also in the market for other midfielders.
Southampton star Shea Charles seem to be the priority target for the 49ers. The club have already had two bids rejected for the Northern Ireland international and plan to sign him.
It looks like there is a plan to revamp the midfield ahead of the new season.
Daniel Farke will be keen on adding more quality to his options from last year, and the 49ers are ready to invest.
New Liverpool boss drops Leeds United transfer hint in latest press conference
From January, Liverpool star Harvey Elliott has been linked with a move to Elland Road.
His loan move to Aston Villa last year was a horrible one. Unai Emery’s side only gave him 11 appearances and 304 minutes in all competitions during his season-long loan.
New Reds boss Andoni Iraola has said that Elliott will be part of the team in pre-season with a chance to improve himself.
”Harvey is here with us. He has come with this eagerness of showing himself and getting himself read again” Iraola said to Sky Sports.
”He will have a chance in pre-season; we will need him. It is a good sign that he came one week earlier and has been training with the U21s”
”Last season was very difficult for Harvey. He was in a situation where The couldn’t even give him the chance to play.”
”I think he uses the bad situation he has experience to make him even more here to be a Liverpool player.”

What happens to Leeds’ other midfield options
Harvey Elliott would be an ideal addition, but as things stand he will fight for his place at Liverpool this summer. But there could be movement in the coming months when it comes to Leeds’ midfield.
Anton Stach, Ethan Ampadu, Sean Longstaff, Ao Tanaka and Ilia Gruev were the options last season.
Outside regulars Stach and Ampadu, the other spot in midfield was shared the Longstaff, Tanaka and Gruev. It is clear that Farke does not have a favourite among the last three players.
It would make sense why the club is pushing to sign Charles this summer.
This could mean that either of Tanaka, Gruev or Longstaff could be sold this summer or next year. Longstaff did not have a great debut season, Gruev is out of contract next summer and Tanaka has yet to nail down a spot in the first team.
