Leeds United manager Daniel Farke has to play a big role if the club are to secure one more top target after finalising a deal for Harry Wilson.
Wilson has reached an agreement over a three-year contract with Leeds, and the club hope to secure his arrival in the coming days once he passes a medical.
Leeds are also in talks with Southampton for midfielder Shea Charles, and the Saints have already entered advanced negotiations to replace the Northern Ireland international.
The Whites are also working on a more complicated deal to secure Julian Brandt on a free transfer, but are banking on Daniel Farke’s influence to pull off a coup.

Julian Brandt is out of contract at Borussia Dortmund next week, and Leeds are among the clubs who have made an offer to sign him on a free transfer.
The Whites are aware that signing him would be a major coup, as there are a few Champions League clubs who are interested in signing the 30-year-old attacking midfielder.
Daniel Farke is a known admirer of the German attacking midfielder, and according to TeamTalk, his influence is going to be key if Leeds are to sign him.
Leeds are banking on the manager convincing the German playmaker to move to Elland Road despite offers from Champions League clubs.
Farke’s influence has been key to Leeds’ recruitment plans, and they are keen to use it to sign a sought-after free agent.
Leeds could also use the help of Anton Stach to sell a move to Leeds to his fellow German in the upcoming days.
It has also been claimed that Leeds won’t shy away from taking the help of Jurgen Klopp, who wanted him at Liverpool, to secure Brandt’s signature this summer.
A tough deal to pull off
Leeds have not given up on signing Julian Brandt and remain in regular contact with his representatives as they try to convince the Borussia Dortmund midfielder that Elland Road is the right destination.
The club know, however, that this will be one of the most difficult deals to pull off this summer. Brandt is attracting interest from several Champions League sides, allowing him to continue playing at the highest level in European football.
Having spent much of his career competing in the Champions League, that prospect is understandably appealing. Even so, Leeds believe the chance to test himself in the Premier League could be a major attraction for the German.
The Whites are still firmly in the race for his signature, but they also recognise that the competition is fierce and there is no guarantee they will be able to get the deal over the line.
