Dominic Calvert-Lewin could struggle against Crystal Palace after sensational Jason Cundy admission

Crystal Palace Leeds United

Leeds United clash with Crystal Palace this weekend as Daniel Farke hopes to continue his side’s impressive run of results. The German has already guided the Whites to a win over Chelsea, and a draw against Liverpool over the last few games.

Everything seems to have turned around at Elland Road, with the club now looking to distance themselves from the relegation zone in their bid for survival. Their next few games give them a chance to put some crucial points on the board as they approach the midway point of the season.

However, Oliver Glasner and his high-flying Crystal Palace side will stand in their way.

Jason Cundy praises Crystal Palace star ahead of Leeds United clash

Ahead of Palace playing in the Conference League on Thursday, Andy Goldstein and Jason Cundy discussed on TalkSport about how the defender is probably the best in England.

Andy Goldstein started with the question: ”We’re going to talk about Mark Guehi now. I think this is an interesting question because if I say how highly do you rate him, how much is he worth?”

”It’s an interesting question because he’ll be leaving for free soon. So I would imagine every club wants him because he’s leaving for free soon. If he had a price tag of 80 million pounds would all the same clubs still want him, do you think?

Jason Cundy replied: ”Probably not, because certain clubs, you know, the fact that he’s on a free becomes far more attractive. He will get a huge signing on fee.

”His wages will be enormous. He’s in a great position. He’s got the World Cup coming up as well. He is England’s best center half.”

Dominic Calvert-Lewin will have a battle on his hands

This weekend, Leeds striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin will be looking to score in his fifth consecutive game for the club and take his tally above five goals this season. The England man has been in form, leading to discussions about if Thomas Tuchel could consider him for the World Cup.

Calvert-Lewin has turned his form around after a long goal drought; these last few games have shown exactly what he is capable of. This weekend he will be up against three center backs including Palace captain Marc Guehi. It will be a tough test for the 28-year old especially in the form Guehi has been in since the start of the season. If Leeds stand a chance of scoring on Saturday night; Calvert-Lewin will definitely be involved.
