Days have passed since Leeds United managed to beat West Ham in the FA Cup to book a place in the semi-finals. It was the first time under Daniel Farke that the team has gotten this far in a major domestic cup competition.

West Ham took Leeds to a penalty shootout after forcing extra time by scoring two late goals. But in the end, Lucas Perri was the hero as he saved two penalties to win the tie. Leeds have now booked a place in the semi-final, where they will face Chelsea at the Wembley Stadium.

It may look like a huge task for Daniel Farke’s men, but they have upset the odds before – they are unbeaten against the Blues in the league this season, taking four points off them.

Leeds United Supporters’ Trust furious over FA Cup date

Leeds United are set to be given around 34,000 and just over 36,000 tickets each for the semi-final, based on last year’s allocation. But with two weeks to go, the fans are not pleased with the FA concerning the organization.

Leeds United Supporters’ Trust have said that it is ”unacceptable” for the FA not to have confirmed an official date and kick off time for the semi-final. The game is scheduled to take place on the weekend of 25th April, but that has been the only information confirmed so far. In a statement released, the Supporters’ Trust have revealed that they have reached out to the FA and Leeds United over their concerns. Leeds are the only team set to travel the longest distance in order to make it to Wembley among all the semi-finalists.

Fans have every right to be aggrieved

This will be Leeds United’s first FA Cup semi-final since the 1980s and fans will be very eager to see their team play. With how this season has gone in the league, the supporters deserve some bit of joy. Playing at Wembley is a privilege not many teams get to have, and for Leeds fans it is a sign of the club’s progress into the future. The FA needs to be transparent with all the arrangements ahead of the semi-final to get ever fan involved in the next two weeks. Fans have waited over 39 years, and deserve to see their team in action at Wembley.

One thing that remains is that Chelsea will get at least 24 hours of rest more than Leeds because they will play a day earlier than the Whites ahead of the weekend the FA Cup fixture has been planned for.
