Javi Gracia provides pre-Crystal Palace injury update

Leeds United’s current injury situation remains unchanged as they head into another crucial match with fellow Premier League strugglers Crystal Palace at the weekend.

This means that Javi Gracia’s side will be without defender Max Wober when the Eagles travel to Elland Road on Sunday.

Gracia confirmed the news in his pre-match press conference today, claiming that such a short period between the 2-1 victory over Nottingham Forest on Tuesday and Sunday’s upcoming fixture gives no time to change the situation of various injured players at the club.

Alongside Wober, USMNT international Tyler Adams is still absent after undergoing surgery for a hamstring strain – as well as longer-term absentees Stuart Dallas and Adam Forshaw.

In a boost to the Whites’ chances, Gracia also stated that forward Wilfried Gnonto was fit and “available” after appearing as an unused substitute against Forest.

“We don’t have any news about injured players. We have the same players as we had for the last game,” he said (via Yorkshire Evening Post).

“Willy was on the bench last game, available. He didn’t play but he was on the bench.”

Another three points this Sunday could prove critical in the Whites escaping relegation this season, as they attempt to increase the distance between themselves and the bottom three.
