Pundit Mark Lawrenson believes Leeds United can pull off an upset against Aston Villa this weekend.
The Whites travel to Villa park to face Unai Emery’s side who have only lost one game since the league restarted. Lawrenson says Leeds are ‘stubborn’ and are not easy to play:
“Unai Emery has done well at Villa since coming in, but they could only draw against Wolves last time out in the league,”
“I’m not sure he’ll have been too worried about the FA Cup defeat, as they can focus on getting up the table now.
“Leeds look like they’re going to be busy in the transfer window this month. They’ve got loads of fight, and are horrible to play against. I think they can spring a surprise here. Villa 1-2 Leeds.”
Leeds are currently in 14th place in the Premier League, they come up against Aston Villa who have been revitalized under Unai Emery. The Whites are winless in their last six in all competitions, can they pull off an upset this weekend?
