Leeds United have doe a great job building the spine of this team from the transfer market. It was only a few seasons ago that the team had young players from Thorp Arch leading the charge.
When Archie Gray, Crysencio Summerville and Pascal Struijk were starters in the team it was a bright future for the Whites.
Unfortunately, after the play off defeat to Southampton, things fell apart. Premier League sides picked that impressive side apart, leaving the club to have to replace key players from scratch.
The 49ers have improved recruitment since the took over.
ow, the club barely makes huge transfer mistakes like the did in that summer 2023 widow. Almost ever player signed during that period is no longer with the club.

Daniel Farke’s side has come a long way, but the core of the team largely remains the same.
Jade Bogle joined in the Championship, Joe Rodon was also signed years ago alongside Ethan Ampadu. These were the early signings in the project, before the club even had ambition of Premier League football.
Since then, the Whites have added Jaka Bijol, Anton Stach, Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Noah Okafor.
This past summer saw them make some heavy additions including Harry Wilson, James Trafford and Tarik Muharemovic.
In recent years, Leeds United have had some huge success with the free agent market. Dominic Calvert-Lewin was a solid addition last year, and so was Lukas Nmecha, who contributed over seven goals as a backup player.
And the club could repeat this next year, with another Premier League striker.
Jean-Philippe Mateta is out of contract this summer with Crystal Palace. The Frenchman asked to leave earlier this year, but a failed medical disrupted a move. He also missed out on a chance to leave this past summer window.
But next year, he will be free and Elland Road could be the perfect destination.
