As Leeds United were knocked out of the League Cup earlier this season, they get a week to prepare for Bournemouth.

The Cherries played on Wednesday night, beating Aston Villa 3-0 to make it to the next round of the competition.

Marco Rose’s side will just have a few days to prepare to meet the Whites.

Leeds have been unfortunate in their last two attempts against teams that have had a midweek game before the weekend. They couldn’t beat Man United who played Champions League football before the clash at Elland Road, and they drew with Sunderland who played European football midweek before the Premier League game.

Fans will hope their extra days of rest will count ahead of the big game on Saturday afternoon.

Before the Sunderland game, Daniel Farke revealed there were lots of injury doubts with players carrying knocks.

Dominic Calvert-Lewin was fit enough to play, but Anton Stach only made the bench.

This week, the Leeds United boss has revealed that most of the players are back to full fitness. Calvert-Lewin, Elvedi, Okafor and Rodon are in training.

Stach is the only major doubt with a foot problem.

“Good team news. Nico is way better, back in training and available. Good week for Dominic and Noah, also available if nothing happens.

“Anton Stach struggling a bit with foot injury. Hope it will get better but a question mark.

“Also Joe Rodon yesterday part-integrated back in team training, just needs session after session but better than last week.”

Leeds will need everyone available for Bournemouth

After the Cherries beat Manchester United 3-0 things have looked worrying for this weekend’s game, they were able to tear apart Michael Carrick’s side with ease, especially in trasition.

The Whites met Manchester United a few weeks ago and were only able to manage a draw at Elland Road.

With Bournemouth also beating Aston Villa midweek, it shows that they are a very formidable opponent.

Farke will need everyone available if the club is to pull off a result away from home. One thing that goes in Leeds’ favour is how difficult they are to beat; Brighton, Brentford and Crystal Palace have struggled against them.

If the team are able to get their game plan right, they could extend their unbeaten streak this season.
