Leeds United are stepping up their recruitment drive as they look to get several new signings through the door before pre-season begins in the coming weeks.

A deal is already in place for Harry Wilson to join on a free transfer, with the move expected to be completed this week now that his contract with Fulham has come to an end.

The Whites are also continuing talks with Julian Brandt as they try to persuade the German international to choose Elland Road ahead of interest from two Champions League clubs.

At the same time, Leeds are close to agreeing a new contract with Karl Darlow. Even so, bringing in another goalkeeper remains a priority, and the club are actively working on a deal for a World Cup star.

Parma set asking price for Zion Suzuki as Leeds prepare ‘official’ offer

Zion Suzuki has emerged as one of the top goalkeeping targets for Leeds, who have also registered their interest in Newcastle United’s Nick Pope.

The Parma goalkeeper has been hugely impressive in the World Cup for Japan, who will face Brazil in the knockout stages later today.

Leeds have been in talks over a deal for the Parma goalkeeper, and are working on tabling a bid to sign the Japan international in the ongoing transfer window.

According to Italian daily Tuttosport, Leeds are ready to slap in an official bid for the goalkeeper in the coming days and weeks.

Suzuki has emerged as one of the priority targets, and Leeds are ready to make a concrete move to sign him in the ongoing summer transfer window.

However, Parma are prepared to make the most of the situation and get a premium fee from his departure this summer.

It has been claimed that the Italian club want at least £26m from Suzuki’s sale in the ongoing transfer window.

Aston Villa are also interested in him, and the price could go up if more clubs make a concrete move for him in the coming weeks.

Lucas Perri’s time seems to be up at Elland Road

Lucas Perri found himself out of the Premier League side midway through last season and spent much of the second half of the campaign featuring only in cup competitions.

With Karl Darlow closing in on a new contract and Leeds still keen to add another goalkeeper this summer, Perri’s future at Elland Road appears increasingly uncertain.

The club are expected to consider offers for the Brazilian once a new goalkeeper arrives, and a move away now looks the most likely outcome before the transfer window shuts.

Ultimately, Perri was unable to convince Daniel Farke and his coaching staff that he was ready to be Leeds’ first-choice goalkeeper at Premier League level, making a summer exit seem inevitable.

Get rid: Perri, James, Piroe, Gruev, we do good deals that will generate at least £5 🙈
