Leeds United ‘open to offers’ for £15m star after major agreement

Selling players will be very important to Leeds United going into the summer transfer window. Club chairman Paraag Marathe has already mentioned this in his recent interviews.

He made it clear in his letter at the end of the season that the club will have a logical approach to the transfer window.

This will most likely mean that the club will have to sell before they buy. And with the new Squad Cost Ratio (SCR) rules coming into play, the Whites do not have much spending power as they had last year.

£100 million was spent to bring in 10 new players into the first team last summer.

However, it is quite clear that there will not be a similar situation this time around.

Leeds United will listen to offers for first team star

The only confirmed departure from Leeds United so far is Illan Meslier.

The club announced that he would not be receiving a new deal at the end of his contract. Alex Cairns recently signed a new deal at Elland Road, and per reports, Karl Darlow is set to follow.

But there are some players in the first team who could be up for sale if Leeds need to make some funds.

Adam Pope spoke recently on the goalkeeping situation at the club ahead of next season. He mentioned that he would not be surprised if Leeds listen to offers for Lucas Perri.

TEAMtalk are reporting that there is a new update concerning Perri and Leeds.

The club is open to listening to offers for the Brazilian, but that heavily depends on finding a replacement. If Leeds cannot sign a goalkeeper, then Perri will remain at Elland Road this summer.

Who else could be out of the door at Elland Road this summer?

Outside Perri, there are some players who could be on the chopping block.

The arrival of Harry Wilson could mean that one attacker could leave this summer. Wilfried Gnonto and Dan James did not have the best of seasons, and could be shipped in this window.

With Pascal Struijk also entering the final year of his contract, Leeds could decide to sell to avoid losing him for free.

Other players like Max Wober, Isaac Schmidt and Joe Gelhardt are not in Daniel Farke’s plans for next season. This could see them leave as there would be no space for them next season.
