Leeds United forward Crysencio Summerville was named Championship Player of the Season at the EFL end of season awards.
Summerville beat out Leicester City’s Keiran Dewsbury-Hall and Blackburn’s Sammie Szmodics for the prestigious award.
The 22-year-old has been electric for Daniel Farke’s side this season, with an impressive 17 goals and eight assists in the league so far this season.
He currently tops the Leeds United scoring charts, four goals ahead of fellow winger Dan James.
Summerville started the season in impressive form, scoring in the season opener against Cardiff and going on to play a huge role in the club’s battle for promotion.
Strong performances against Norwich, Rotherham United, and local rivals Huddersfield Town, along with a string of Man of the Match awards made him a major contender.
What did Summerville say?
“It’s been a great season for us, for me, I hope we can see out our plan and get promoted, that’s what we’re aiming for.” He said as he picked up the award.
When asked about his most memorable moment so far, he said “I’d say against Norwich, it was a great comeback, from 2-0 down, it was important for the team.”

What next for Summerville?
With zero wins in their last three games, Leeds United have started to falter at the last hurdle, and the push for automatic promotion has taken a hit.
Thankfully for Farke’s men, neither Leicester nor Ipswich have fully capitalised on this poor run of form.
Summerville will no doubt have a huge part to play in the remaining fixtures against Middlesbrough, QPR, and Southampton.
With links to Premier League clubs in the summer, the manager will be hoping to keep ahold of Summerville, whether Leeds secure promotion back to the Premier League at the first time of asking or not.
