Leeds United are yet to sign a striker this summer despite it being one of their priorities at the start of the transfer window.
Dominic Calvert-Lewin scored 14 Premier League goals last season, but beyond him, Leeds looked devoid of options, as Lukas Nmecha was never prolific and Daniel Farke didn’t rate Joel Piroe enough to play him in the top flight.
Leeds are weaker in the striker departure following Piroe’s departure, but with just over 48 hours left in the transfer window, Leeds are yet to line up a new number 9.
The club remain keen to sign Chelsea’s Mykhailo Mudryk, but it appears they are yet to get anywhere close to a deal to sign a striker in the ongoing transfer window.

Leeds set to miss out on striker target
The Whites held talks with RB Leipzig and Conrad Harder’s representatives over signing the striker on loan in the ongoing transfer window.
RB Leipzig are keen to offload the 21-year-old striker before the transfer window closes, and he emerged as one of the targets for Leeds this summer.
There were suggestions that Leeds backed out of approaching initial talks, but the club are almost certain to miss out on him now.
According to German journalist Philipp Hinze, Strasbourg, Chelsea’s sister club in France, are in talks to sign him on loan with an option to buy.
An agreement has not been finalised yet, but the two clubs are advancing in talks to take Harder to Strasbourg before Tuesday’s transfer deadline.
The two clubs are holding talks over the details of a deal, and Harder is closing in on a move to France in the next 48 hours.
It is unclear whether Leeds are lining up another striker, with the Leipzig forward almost certain to join Strasbourg this summer.
Who can Leeds sign this late in the window?
Leeds will be taking a huge gamble on Dominic Calvert-Lewin’s fitness if they do not sign a new striker before the transfer window closes on Tuesday.
However, the club are also running out of options and time to bring in a new striker and may have to make a move for an old target in the next 48 hours.
Zian Flemming seems to be the most logical target for Leeds at this stage of the window, given the limited options in front of them.
He scored 11 Premier League goals in 21 starts for a relegated Burnley last season and is open to returning to Premier League football.
Leeds will have to make a move for him soon as the forward is also attracting interest from Champions League clubs.
