Fiorentina signed former Leeds United player Jack Harrison in January on a loan deal. The move was the conclusion of the winger’s time at Elland Road.
Daniel Farke and the 49ers gave Harrison the green light to return to the first team last summer.
He was re-integrated into the first team despite spending the last two seasons on loan at Everton. Most fans thought he would have left, but the club made the decision to keep him around.
After a lack of playing time during the season, Harrison pushed for a move to Italy in January.
The winger had a poor loan spell, and the Serie A side did not take the buy option. Harrison joined MLS side New England Revolution this summer.

And according to the latest news, another Leeds United star could be set to make the switch to Italy.
Gianluca Di Marzio is reporting that Fiorentina have opened talks over a move for Wilfried Gnonto. The winger is back in training after picking up a hamstring injury in pre-season.

Gnonto has been one of the Leeds players with one foot out of the door in the last couple of seasons.
There has been interest in the 22-year old from across Europe, but no club has made a concrete offer. It is an interesting development as to how serious the approach for Gnonto is with just days until the transfer deadline.
Leeds host Brentford at Elland Road on Sunday, and Wilfried Gnonto could make the squad according to Daniel Farke.

Will 49ers sanction transfer exit?
There are four days to go until the summer transfer window closes.
Leeds United have done their business, adding four new players but there is the feeling that the team would like to bring a few more on board. The last few weeks has seen them linked with two targets; a winger and a goalkeeper.
However, the talks ended with Chelsea over Mudryk. But the club can still land a deal for Michael Zetterer, who is set for a medical.
It will be unlikely that Wilfried Gnonto leaves this late in the window. Leeds would have to find a replacement, which could cost them more money as teams will know they are desperate.
On the other hand, attacking quality is needed if the club are to hit higher heights this season.
