Leeds United are still looking to add another striker this summer, with Daniel Farke keen to ease some of the goalscoring burden on Dominic Calvert-Lewin ahead of the new Premier League season.
The former Everton forward enjoyed an excellent first campaign at Elland Road, scoring 14 league goals and playing a major role in Leeds securing their top-flight status. But when his goals dried up, the Whites often lacked another dependable option to step in, exposing the need for greater depth up front.
That makes another centre-forward one of Leeds’ biggest priorities before the window closes. Farke wants someone who can challenge Calvert-Lewin for a starting place while also giving him the option of playing both forwards together when needed.
The new striker also needs to be capable of leading the line when Calvert-Lewin is unavailable. Adding that quality and competition would give Farke more options in attack and reduce Leeds’ reliance on one player throughout a demanding Premier League season.

Leeds United agree deal for teen striker
The Whites appeared to have finalised a deal to sign a striker after they loaned out Joel Piroe to West Ham earlier this week.
According to the Daily Mail, Leeds have beaten off competition for the signature of 18-year-old striker Ditmir Hodja in the ongoing transfer window.
Hodja was out of contract and available as a free agent, so Leeds have agreed a compensation package with Skopje to bring him in.
The youngster has already been compared stylistically to Arsenal’s Kai Havertz. Standing at 6ft 4in, he is technically gifted, quick for his size and strong in the air.
He has also made an impressive start at senior level, scoring six goals and providing two assists in just eight appearances for Skopje’s first team.
It remains unclear whether Leeds see the 18-year-old forward as a first-team addition or plan to introduce him gradually through the Under-21s.
But it appears the 49ers are convinced about the young forward’s ability and have finalised a deal for his move to Elland Road.
Leeds still need a senior striker
The Whites cannot gamble on Dominic Calvert-Lewin to remain fit for a full season, and Lukas Nmecha is not prolific enough to replace the former Everton man.
It would be a huge risk if Leeds go into the season with an 18-year-old as a third-striker option in their squad for the Premier League.
Leeds need a senior striker and should ramp up their interest in Zian Flemming, who scored 11 goals in 21 Premier League starts for Burnley last season.
He has the ability to play in different roles in the forward line and has the Premier League-proven pedigree to be a solid option in the Leeds squad.
I got exited…. For a few seconds. We need to be signing first team players. It’s urgent FFS
