Daniel Farke will take plenty of encouragement from the way his Leeds United side responded to come from two goals down and beat Liverpool 4-2 at Soldier Field in Chicago on Sunday.
Leeds struggled to get going in the first half and deservedly found themselves 2-0 behind at the break after Luke Chambers and Florian Wirtz put Liverpool in control.
The second half was a completely different story. Farke’s side came out with renewed intensity and turned the game on its head with an outstanding display. Brenden Aaronson, Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Sean Longstaff were all on the scoresheet as the Whites produced a remarkable comeback to earn an impressive pre-season win.
The performance after the interval will leave Farke with plenty to be optimistic about. With more signings still expected before the transfer window closes, Leeds look to be building real momentum ahead of the start of the 2026/27 Premier League season.
Leeds will next host RB Leipzig at Elland Road next weekend before playing Manchester United in Dublin.

Leeds are in line to improve next season
Leeds United have produced plenty of positive performances during pre-season, even though Daniel Farke is still waiting for several key additions to arrive before the transfer window closes.
So far, Harry Wilson and Tarik Muharemovic are the only new signings available to the Leeds boss, but the club remain confident of completing a deal for Manchester City goalkeeper James Trafford.
They are also actively searching for a striker, an attacking midfielder and a back-up left-back.
There is a feeling that this squad still has another level to reach once those reinforcements arrive.
If Leeds can complete the rest of their transfer business, Farke will have a much stronger group at his disposal and a genuine opportunity to improve on last season’s 14th-place finish in the Premier League.
