Noa Lang back on Leeds United radar

According to Dean Jones, Club Brugge’s Noa Lang has popped up as Leeds look for reinforcements in January.

Lang has been a target for Leeds since 2021, the forward almost joined the club in 2021 when Marcelo Bielsa was in charge. However, the club ended up signing Daniel James in that transfer window. Transfer expert Dean Jones claims Jesse Marsch will explore a move for the Dutchman in the next few weeks:

“They want to avoid that disappointment of suffering on someone like Gakpo and missing out on them and then seeing them linked with every big club in Europe, basically, the same thing will happen with Noa Lang. “He’s got massive potential and is already doing really well, so I would expect them to push on with that soon.”

The 23-year old has only made four starts this season for Brugge but has already scored two goals and provided two assists in the league. The forward offers a different type of threat in attack with his unique style of play, he draws comparisons to Brazil’s Neymar because of it. With Rodrigo Moreno having to carry the offensive burden alone this season, the potential addition of the Brugge winger seems ideal.

Lang was part of the 26-man Netherlands squad that lost in the Quarterfinals to eventual winners Argentina. Leeds United resume their Premier League campaign against Manchester City on 28th December at Elland Road.
