Leeds United still have some business to address before the summer transfer deadline. This year has been drastically different to the events of last summer.
The Whites had completed most of their business ahead of their return to the Premier League last year.
This time around, things have moved slowly as only four players have arrived at Elland Road. But the club are not in a hurry as they have a few targets lined up in the coming days.
Leeds will feel comfortable with the business done so far.
They have managed to upgrade on major positions across the spine of the team. James Trafford will be a long term number one, and Nico Elvedi and Tarik Muharemovic are upgrades to the backline.
Harry Wilson has also been a quality addition to the attack.
Premier League star wants Leeds United move
Last week, reports emerged that Leeds United were after an attacking player.
BBC reporter Adam Pope revealed that the club had been looking at a list of wingers. And Chelsea star Mykhailo Mudryk seemed to be on top of the list.
Mudryk recently returned to football following a doping ban. But with the transfer business the London club have done, it is unlikely that the 25-year old will be part of the first team.
Leeds have already had a bid rejected for the Ukraine international.
On Monday, Ben Jacobs revealed that Chelsea no longer consider Leeds United as a potential destination for Mudryk. And as things stand it is very unlikely that deal continues.
Chelsea say they have ended talks with Leeds for winger Mykhailo Mudryk. A move to Leeds remains the Ukrainian’s preference. Remains to be seen if deal is revived after weekend talks but no second bid was made. https://t.co/0IQbOrblJT

BBC Sport’s Nizaar Kinsella has now reported that despite Chelsea’s stance, Mudryk prefers a move to Elland Road.
There is also a very slim chance that a deal is revived in the final days of the season.

49ers also need to address other areas of the squad
Getting in an attacker before the deadline is crucial, but the club must not forget about other issues.
Leeds remain without a backup goalkeeper after the first game of the season. Alex Cairns is the only other first team keeper available and that is not ideal over the course of a whole campaign.
With Gabriel Gudmundsson’s injury woes, a left back could still be needed before the deadline.
Joel Piroe’s exit could also mean that the club could dip into the market for a new striker. Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Lukas Nmecha are the only senior options at the start of the season.
Feels like this is in the Leao and Paxo sort of territory. Deadline day if at all I reckon.
