Leeds United still have a lot of work to do before the transfer deadline next week. On the bright side, the club got off to a great start in their Premier League season.

Daniel Farke’s men managed to pick up a crucial win away from home on Saturday.

Leeds have began their campaign with a great result. Anton Stach’s late free kick was enough to seal three points against Oliver Glasner’s Nottingham Forest side.

After the game, Farke did hint that the team could dip into the market once again.

There are a few areas where the Whites desperately need reinforcements. The 49ers have been after a backup goalkeeper, with Luc Perri set to finalize his exit this week.

An approach for Eintracht Frankfurt keeper Michael Zetterer has been made.

Sky Sports confirm Leeds United transfer update

Leeds United have been in the market for an attacker since last week.

Adam Pope revealed that the club had been looking at wingers, with Chelsea star Mykhailo Mudryk a major target.

The Whites submitted a bid for the Ukraine international, but the London club turned down the offer. The proposal was a straight loan deal with no option to buy the 25-year old.

Fabrizio Romano has confirmed on Monday morning that Leeds United are set to make another bid for Mudryk.

Chelsea have been open to the winger’s departure; he has not been training with the first team in recent days. New Blues boss Xabi Alonso has admitted that the club do not have a definite stance on his future.

Ben Jacobs then revealed that the second offer from the Whites has been rejected.

As things stand, the Blues do not consider Elland Road as a potential destination. It is very likely that Mudryk will move elsewhere, as many clubs in Europe and the Premier League are interested.

49ers need to move on to another target

With limited time left until the transfer deadline, the best thing for Leeds to do is find a new target.

Adam Pope already revealed that there is a long list of potential signings in attack.

If Chelsea do not want the deal for Mudryk, then there is no time to waste. The club need to try and get in an alternative before the deadline.

Saturday’s game against Nottingham Forest showed that the team need some quality up front. It was painful to watch in moments when the Leeds team could not pose any serious attacking threat.

Going into the new season after losing Piroe without a replacement is not great planning by the team.
