Leeds United have suffered a significant last-minute blow as winger Luis Sinisterra has joined Premier League side Bournemouth on a season-long loan.
Leeds, who are understood to have not wanted to lose Sinisterra without getting a replacement, are receiving left-sided forward Jaiden Anthony – also on loan – from the Cherries in return.

Sinisterra’s move was agreed after the official 11pm deadline for the summer transfer window had elapsed, but was able to be negotiated after it closed due to the submission of a deal sheet.
The Athletic’s Phil Hay reports that it was threat of legal action against Leeds from Sinisterra concerning the release clause in his contract which influenced the club’s decision to let the 24-year-old make the move to the South Coast.
Sinisterra had threatened legal action over the release clause in his contract. Leeds wanted to keep him but chose to avoid possible legal battle by allowing him to go.

The manner of the Colombian’s departure will leave a particularly sour taste in the mouth of Whites supporters who – up to now – were generally pleased with the business that their club had conducted this summer.
And whilst the Elland Road faithful have had to witness a significant number of outgoings from the squad during the transfer period up to this point – Sinisterra the newest amongst them – there is no denying that their incoming signings have generally impressed.
The acquisition of defensive midfielder Ethan Ampadu, right-back Djed Spence and striker Joel Piroe in particular, will provide a significant boost to a squad with which manager Daniel Farke hopes to gain immediate Championship promotion with this season.
Leeds will hope to put the disappointment of losing one of their star signings behind them tomorrow afternoon when they host Yorkshire rivals Sheffield Wednesday at Elland Road, with the Owls still yet to register their first league win of the campaign.
