There can be no disputing the quality of Leeds’ current squad. They managed to propel themselves to ninth place in the league last term in their first season back in the top flight and have proven internationals in their squad, including a Euro 2020 finalist.
Thus, it should be no surprise that there’s some valuable players in their squad. In fact, the Whites now have seven players worth more than £15m which is impressive to say the least, especially when the majority of their squad was pulled together when the club was in the Championship.
Under Marcelo Bielsa, plenty of Leeds players have experienced a steady increase in their value with the likes of Patrick Bamford now worth twice as much as the fee Leeds originally bought him for.
According to Transfer Markt, Bamford is now valued at £19.8 million and is the Whites third most valuable player behind the £36m-rated Kalvin Phillips and Brazilian winger Raphinha who is worth £27m according to the website.
Illan Meslier is also valued at an impressive sum of £18m while Spanish international Rodrigo is worth £16.2m, which is less than what Leeds paid him for.
Surprisingly, Helder Costa, despite a lukewarm Elland Road career, is still £9m whilst Luke Ayling and Stuart Dallas are somewhat underrated with values of £4.5m and £3.6m.
The debatable valuations continue with German international Robin Koch, who has a had a slow start to life in West Yorkshire, placed at £15.3m, some £2m more than Leeds paid for him 12 months ago.
Meanwhile, new signings Junior Firpo and Kristoffer Klaesson are worth £7.2m and £1.8m respectively.
