Leeds United are back in action tonight in Merseyside, with the Whites set to face off against Everton on Monday night.
Leeds picked up an exceptional 1-0 home win against Fulham last time out and are looking to make it back-to-back wins in the Premier League for the first time this season.
Unlike in the reverse fixture at Elland Road, Dominic Calvert-Lewin is expected to start against Everton in what would be his first game against his former employers of nine years.
The transformation that Leeds have undergone recently has particularly impressed former Aston Villa player Gabby Agbonlahor, who praised the job Daniel Farke has done ahead of the Whites’ clash with Everton.
Gabby Agbonlahor waxes lyrical about Leeds United to Jermaine Beckford
Alongside Agbonlahor, former Leeds striker Jermaine Beckford also appeared on talkSPORT to preview the game between his two former sides.
Agbonlahor reflected on the infamous tactical change Farke made at halftime against Manchester City and how it ultimately proved to save the German manager’s job.
“I think a couple of months ago, there were talks about the manager getting sacked, and it wasn’t going well. Since then, they’ve been scared of nobody, and that’s what I love about Leeds now.”
Beckford agreed with Agbonlahor’s analysis, saying: “Leeds were getting beaten up and battered at the Etihad, and the change to five at the back was a huge, huge difference.”
After recently picking up points on the road against the likes of Liverpool, Sunderland and Brentford, it is more than reasonable to expect Leeds to enjoy similar success at the Hill Dickinson Stadium tonight.

Data suggests Leeds have a good chance of picking up points against Everton
Whilst Goodison Park was notorious for being a difficult place to travel to for away sides, the same hasn’t proven to be true yet for the Hill Dickinson Stadium, with the Toffees still seemingly finding their feet in their new ground.
- Everton currently has the 14th-best home record in the Premier League
- David Moyes’ side have four wins, three draws and four defeats from their first 11 home fixtures in the league

As well as this, Leeds are the more in-form side entering the game, as Everton have suffered four defeats in their last eight fixtures in all competitions; however, in fairness, they did pick up an impressive 1-0 away win against Aston Villa in their last outing.
With both West Ham and Nottingham Forest picking up wins of their own over the weekend, their optimism could be short-lived if Leeds were to pick up a win of their own and restore that eight-point margin to the bottom three.
