Leeds United moved on several players in the summer transfer window as part of their squad restructure that saw them sign seven new players.
Several players had become surplus to requirements, and they were allowed to leave, mostly on loan, as Daniel Farke sought to rejig his options for the 2026/27 season.
However, Leeds also needed to move on a few players who were considered deadwood and would never have been part of Daniel Farke’s plans even if they failed to find a new club.
Largie Ramazani was one such player. He spent last season on loan at Valencia, and after waiting all summer for the Spanish club, he joined Burnley on loan with a conditional obligation on deadline day.

Ex-Leeds star shines for Burnley again
Largie Ramazani would have preferred to return to Spain in the summer, but eventually agreed to move to the Championship with Burnley on deadline day.
He made his first start in the 1-1 draw at Wrexham last week when he produced the assist for Zeki Amdouni’s first-half goal.
The winger was again in the starting eleven when Burnley took on Swansea City at the Liberty Stadium on Saturday, and he was at it again.
While Burnley lost 3-1 in Wales, Ramazani showed why he is such a threat in the Championship after scoring his first goal for the Clarets against Swansea.
Ramazani is enjoying life at Burnley, and his performances mean that Burnley are most likely to sign him on a permanent deal from Leeds.
He never managed to establish himself as a trusted option under Daniel Farke, even during Leeds’ time in the Championship, leaving a summer departure as the most realistic outcome for him.
However, at Burnley, the Belgian is showing why Leeds paid a considerable fee of around £10m to sign him in 2024.

Ramazani is proving himself in the Championship
Daniel Farke was happy to let Ramazani leave on loan last year, as it was clear that the winger was not going to feature much in the Premier League.
However, it was a surprise that the Belgian was not given enough opportunities in the Championship as well in the season Leeds got promoted.
He may not be a player good enough for the Premier League, but Ramazani is showing at Burnley that he is more than capable of making his mark in the Championship.
Ramazani has already made an impact in the final third for Burnely and is unlikely to be on the bench anytime soon.
