Leeds United have made a positive start to the summer transfer window, but Daniel Farke and the club’s recruitment team know their work is far from finished ahead of the new Premier League season.
The Whites began their recruitment by signing Harry Wilson on a free transfer before making a major statement with the £34m arrival of centre-back Tarik Muharemovic from Sassuolo.
They have since completed their biggest deal of the summer, bringing James Trafford to Elland Road from Manchester City in a club-record £45m move to become the club’s new first-choice goalkeeper.
However, Leeds are not done in the market yet. The club are continuing to target reinforcements, with several key areas of the squad still in need of strengthening before the transfer window closes.

Beren Cross reveals Leeds transfer plan
Leeds have signed three players to strengthen three key areas of the squad this summer.
They needed another attacking outlet with Premier League pedigree, and Harry Wilson was signed on a free transfer to fill a gap in the squad.
Leeds also needed to replace Pascal Struijk, and Tarik Muharemovic arrived to fill the hole left by the Dutchman’s departure. Daniel Farke also stressed the importance of having a top-class number 1, and James Trafford arrived on a club-record deal.
According to The Athletic’s Beren Cross, Leeds are eyeing at least four more signings to complete their squad for the new season.
Leeds want a versatile attacker who can play on the left, and back-ups to centre-back, left wing-back and striker.
The Whites are also pushing for a fifth signing as they need one more goalkeeper, and the club have already made a formal offer for Paraguay goalkeeper Orlando Gill.
By the end of the transfer window, Leeds could end with eight new players, which would be a major show of ambition from the 49ers.
Leeds will shift out several players
Leeds United are expected to sanction several more departures before the transfer window closes as they look to generate additional funds and reshape the squad.
Lucas Perri is closing in on a move to Torino, while the Whites are also prepared to listen to offers for Sebastiaan Bornauw if the right bid arrives.
Largie Ramazani remains one of the most likely players to leave, although Valencia are currently waiting in the hope that Leeds will lower their asking price.
Wilfried Gnonto and Joel Piroe could also be on their way out if suitable offers are made, with Leeds confident both players would command sizeable transfer fees.
Brenden Aaronson’s future is another situation to watch. The American has entered the final 12 months of his contract, leaving the club with an important decision to make before the transfer window closes.
