Leeds United are set to confirm the signing of James Trafford from Manchester City in the coming hours. The news broke on Thursday that the England keeper had completed his medical.
After weeks of talks between both clubs, the deal is said to be concluded.
Leeds will splash out over £40 million in the transfer for the goalkeeper. The 49ers have shown their commitment to improving the team as they aim higher than last season.
Their biggest outlay last summer was Noah Okafor for £18 million.
This window alone has seen them spend £34 million on Bosnian defender Tarik Muharemovic, and they are set to eclipse that when Trafford is officially confirmed.

Leeds United also managed to sign Harry Wilson on a free transfer.
Wilson was the first transfer completed this summer, and it was a big deal for the fans and the club. They managed to beat out tough competition in the form of Aston Villa for the attacking midfielder.
When he was announced, Harry Wilson revealed that he chose the project that was right for him.
And in the background, a lot of work was done by Leeds United club Chairman Paraag Marathe, who had a phone call with the Welsh international before he signed.
‘After the first call I had with Leeds, with the chairman about the direction of the club, they were my number one choice,’ Wilson told the Daily Mail.
‘I spoke to a couple of other teams and nothing changed my mind.
‘The ownership group, the plans they have for the club. They know the size of the club with the fanbase and the history and the work they’re doing to the stadium already to increase the capacity, the investment they’re putting into the squad. It’s all just going in one direction and that’s what I want to be a part of.’
