Leeds United have enjoyed an encouraging start to the summer transfer window. But Daniel Farke and the club’s recruitment team know there is still plenty of business to complete before the new Premier League campaign begins.
The Whites opened the window by bringing in Harry Wilson on a free transfer before making a major investment to sign centre-back Tarik Muharemovic from Sassuolo in a £34m deal.
They have since followed that up with their biggest signing of the summer, as James Trafford arrived from Manchester City in a club-record £45m move to become Leeds’ new first-choice goalkeeper.
Leeds are in the market for more players, and the club have already made a move to secure the next signing after Trafford’s arrival this summer.

Formal offer made for potential next signing
With Trafford joining Leeds, the club are now set to trigger Lucas Perri’s exit, who is keen to join Torino on loan with an option to buy this summer.
The deal is likely to get delayed due to a minor injury to the Brazilian. However, the goalkeeper is expected to join the Serie A side before the end of the window.
Leeds are still in the market for a deputy to Trafford, as Alex Cairns is nothing more than a third-choice in the squad.
According to journalist Carlin Correa, Leeds have made a move to sign Paraguay goalkeeper Orlando Gill this summer.
The 26-year-old goalkeeper impressed for Paraguay in the World Cup and produced top displays against Germany and France.
Several clubs have been interested in Gill, and he is expected to leave San Lorenzo before the end of the transfer window.
Leeds have made a formal offer to sign the 26-year-old and are pushing to take him to Elland Road this summer.
If a deal goes through, he will be the number 2 to Trafford at Elland Road next season.

Will Orlando Gill agree to be a number 2 at Leeds?
Orlando Gill made a big impression during the World Cup, and a move to Europe is the likely outcome this summer.
Leeds are interested in signing him, but it remains to be seen whether Gill is happy to be the number 2 to James Trafford at Elland Road.
He is untested in European football, and very few clubs are likely to gamble on him being their number one if he moves to Europe this summer.
Leeds could offer him a chance to prove himself in the Premier League by stepping up if and when required at Elland Road.
For now, if Gill wants to play in England next season, it is hard to see him receiving a better opportunity than becoming Trafford’s understudy at Leeds.
He’d be ideal for us
