Premier League clubs to reignite interest in Leeds United star this January

According to Fabrizio Romano, Premier League clubs will come knocking this January in a bid to sign Leeds United forward Crysencio Summerville.

The 21-year old has had a fantastic start to the season, scoring four goals and providing 2 assists in just eight starts this league campaign. His latest performance led Leeds to a 3-2 win over Norwich City this weekend. The Dutchman scored a brace – a 77th minute equalizer to tie the game, and an 85th minute winner to seal all three points.

After the game, Fabrizio Romano posted on his X account that clubs are still interested in the youngster after a move failed to materialize this summer:

“Crysencio Summerville with a brace today vs Norwich — he rejected several clubs in the summer to stay at Leeds United and feel key player there. Bournemouth, Everton and Burnley were all interested. And more PL clubs are now monitoring Crysencio towards the January window.” He posted on his official account.

It will take a lot for Summerville to leave the club; Daniel Farke was instrumental in keeping him this summer window and he sees the youngster as a key player as Leeds seek promotion to the Premier League.

The German coach was full of praise for the youngster after Saturday’s performance:

“Crysencio is a baller. When you see a guy touching the ball like he does it’s heart-warming. We want him to improve his effectiveness. Need goals and assists and end products. The next step in his career. Delivers like this, he is on a good path.”
