Leeds United have a few transfers they want to get across the line before the deadline next week. The Whites have gotten off to a great start this season and fans are excited.

But off the pitch, it looks like the club have a few boxes left to tick.

Last week saw Leeds make a move to sign Chelsea winger Mykhailo Mudryk. Unfortunately for them, the Blues decided to end talks after rejecting their initial loan offer.

The deal for Frankfurt goalkeeper Michael Zetterer was also in the process.

Initially it was denied by sources at the German club. But since then, things have progressed, and after the Bundesliga side secured a new goalkeeper, Zetterer is very close to an exit.

It has been reported by Sky sources that the German will now make his decision on a potential move to Leeds United soon.

The 31-year old’s arrival is to replace Lucas Perri, who has been linked with a move to Elland Road for weeks. It was reported by Italian sources that the Brazilian could complete his move to Torino on Friday.

In Daniel Farke’s press conference on the same day, the Leeds boss has confirmed the news.

Perri has been given permission by the club to fly to complete his transfer deal. Farke also mentioned that the club are looking at a few names to bring in as Perri’s replacement.

”Not able to confirm names, but don’t want to lie.”

”Have allowed Lucas Perri to travel and bring in another player. Only want to speak once it is done.”

The 28-year old is now likely to be unavailable for this weekend’s game against Brentford on Sunday.

Whites have left it a bit late with days to go

The transfer deadline is on Tuesday, and Leeds have yet to sign another player since landing Nico Elvedi.

There were reports that the club would like to sign a defender, a winger and a striker in addition to a backup goalkeeper. But looking at things, it is very unlikely that happens.

As things stand, Michael Zetterer could be done over the weekend, with Lucas Perri going to finalize his move to Turin.

But after that, everything is up in the air. So the 49ers have to press on and secure a few transfers before Tuesday’s deadline.
