Reports from Italy indicate that Leeds United goalkeeper Lucas Perri is finally set to complete his move. That marks another player the club have offloaded who was not in first team plans.
This summer, the 49ers have done a great job of that, moving Max Wober, Joe Gelhardt, Isaac Schmidt and Jack Harrison among other players.
The deal for Lucas Perri has been brewing for over a month. Leeds decided to push forward to sign James Trafford from Manchester City shortly after the World Cup ended.
Perri has been waiting to move since Trafford arrived weeks ago.
His transfer was initially delayed when his finger injury pushed back a medical, and Marseille tried to hijack the transfer at one point, stalling talks.
As of this week, it has been revealed that the Brazilian has been given the green light to travel to Turin. Lucas Perri is set to be unveiled as Torino’s latest summer signing this weekend.

As part of Leeds United only offloading players after settling their replacements, Perri leaving means another keeper is on his way.
The Whites have had their sights set on a move for Frankfurt keeper Michael Zetterer. Despite early reports from The Athletic that an agreement had been reached, sources in Germany denied anything.
With Perri set to fly to Italy, it has been confirmed that Leeds have reached a breakthrough with Zetterer.

Frankfurt have agreed a deal to sign a new keeper, which opened the door for the 31-year old to leave.
However, Sky reporter Florian Plettenburg is reporting that Leeds are still in negotiations with the keeper. He remains their number one target to join as backup to Trafford.
Plettenburg’s report indicates that Frankfurt are not standing in the way of a deal.
The decision will lie with Zetterer, who is expected to confirm his future in the next 48 hours.

49ers will be confident about a deal following this news
With how things are moving fast, it is clear that the 49ers believe Michael Zetterer will choose a move to Elland Road.
That is why they gave the green light to Lucas Perri to fly and complete a move to Torino in the coming days. They would not do that if they had doubts about Zetterer joining.
The German keeper also has little reason to remain in the Bundesliga.
With Frankfurt agreeing a deal to sign a new keeper, Zetterer’s chances of being number one are very slim.
So staying on to be backup is not an option. Moving to Leeds would allow him to at least get some games as the backup keeper in cup competitions.
