Leeds United kick off their new Premier League campaign away to Nottingham Forest this weekend. Daniel Farke will be fully confident that his side can get something in their opener.

The Whites’ pre-season preparations have gone very well, and the results show that.

Leeds have beaten Sunderland, Liverpool and RB Leipzig this summer. They also managed to hold Manchester United to a draw.

Last season was a good one for everyone around Elland Road. Despite being completely ruled out of surviving the top flight, they managed to beat the odds and survive relegation.

Daniel Farke speaks on Leeds United transfer window

The new season kicks off this weekend, which also marks the final weeks of the transfer deadline.

Leeds United have done some decent business so far, despite some of the fanbase complaining about the recent transfer deal.

Daniel Farke was asked about the business done so far, and he did admit he is okay with what has been done. But the Leeds boss did make it clear that they will continue to push for more additions.

”Very happy with our window so far. Very happy with my group but I will push until the last day to get the best squad.”

”We’re all trying hard to give ourselves the best squad because this is what the club deserves. Until the last moment we’ll try, also to keep our best players.”

”We will see what we’re capable to do, so far so good.”

Glaring squad problems persist ahead of new season

Leeds United have done a great job with arrivals so far.

Four new players have been signed, with each arguably an upgrade in their respective positions.

James Trafford comes in and immediately becomes the club’s number one for the long-term future. Tarik Muharemovic comes in as a replacement for Pascal Struijk. The Bosnian is a player with very high potential, and also one for the future.

Harry Wilson will be a great addition to a Leeds attack that were not impressive last year.

But there are a lot of questions to be answered ahead of the new season. Leeds are going into another campaign without a natural left footed backup for Gabriel Gudmundsson.

His recent injuries have raised some eyebrows.

Another attacking player should be on the radar, unless the club want to rely on Dan James and Wilfried Gnonto for another year.
