Leeds United in the last few seasons have made the most of their recruitment. The club have not splashed excessive amounts, but the returns have been decent.
Getting the likes of Ethan Ampadu, Ao Tanaka, Joe Rodon and Anton Stach for decent fees has been a huge boost to the team. The transfer window last summer saw the level of the team improve. Leeds have all but secured their spot in the Premier League for next season, due to the performances of the likes of Stach and Calvert-Lewin. Some clubs in England spent more than the Whites, but have been relegated.
Leeds keen on signing Belgian teenager
TEAMtalk have reported that Leeds will rival Chelsea to sign Genk star Konstantinos Karetsas. The attacking midfielder has had a brilliant season in the Belgian league, and has 11 assists. The race for Karetsas will be difficult this summer with the likes of Borussia Dortmund, RB Leipzig and Liverpool all keen on signing him.
Daniel Farke has been after a playmaker for the past few seasons. Leeds had Georginio Rutter and were one of the best attacking units in the Championship. But since then, the club has been looking for a player who can make a difference in that role.

49ers have bigger areas to focus
Konstantinos Karetsas is a fine talent, and is one of the best in Europe. He would be a good signing, but there are areas in the team that need serious help. Leeds have had goalscoring struggles this season, and because of that reports have emerged linking the club with potential new strikers. The goalkeeping situation also needs to be addressed with three first team shot stoppers out of contract.
Outside that, the club also have player contracts to deal with. Ethan Ampadu is attracting interest, and Leeds need to renew his current deal. Pascal Struijk has 18 months left on his contract with clubs like Aston Villa and Newcastle interested. Outside this, the club has to deal with the return of loan players. As things stand, the likes of Max Wober, Isaac Schmidt and Largie Ramazani will not get a permanent deal. So now the owners have to decide on their future. Karetsas will be better off playing for another club than at Leeds United, where he will not be a guaranteed starter.
