Things have been shaping up nicely for Leeds United this week. The club have agreed a deal to sign their first player of the summer.
Harry Wilson has agreed to join the Whites and is set for a medical to join on a long-term deal.
Leeds have been fans of the midfielder since last year, and missed out on a deadline day deal for him. Wilson chose to leave the London club at the end of his contract, and should be announced soon.
The Whites could follow that up with another move for a free agent.
Per Adam Pope, attacking midfielder Julian Brandt is a serious option on the club’s radar. He announced that he would be leaving Borussia Dortmund at the end of this past season.
Nothing has been confirmed yet, but something is in the works.
Leeds United submit improved bid for transfer target
Leeds United will also be glad to have Alex Cairns back as he agreed to terms on a new deal.
He was one of the players whose contracts was expiring this month. The club chose to keep him as he is a great influence around the team – he is currently the reserve keeper.
Reports also claim that Karl Darlow has turned down Manchester United and could sign a new deal at Elland Road soon.
Leeds are keen to bolster their midfield after signing Wilson, and pursuing Brandt. Southampton star Shea Charles is still a target, with the Whites having had a bid rejected recently.
The Saints are said to want more than £20 million. Daily Mail are now reporting that Leeds have increased their offer to £25 million in hopes of wrapping up the deal soon.

What happens to the other options in midfield?
With Harry Wilson having been secured, and Julian Brandt on the radar, some might ask what will happen with the club’s midfield.
Shea Charles could potentially see three arrivals in that part of the pitch.
This points to the fact that there could be one or two departures before next season starts. There has been talk of Sean Longstaff leaving after just 12 months at Elland Road.
His season was disrupted and he never really got going. Ao Tanaka is also another option, he was sidelined until Ilia Gruev’s injury late last year.
Gruev himself could be sold, considering that he has just one year on his deal.
There are a lot of ways that things could go, but one thing that is for sure is that there will be departures.
