Leeds United are back in Premier League action this weekend after a long international break. They come up against current league holders Arsenal.

Fans will not have pleasant memories of Emirates stadium as they lost by five goals there last season. But this time around the circumstances are much different, and the game could be very interesting to watch.

Arsenal will no doubt be eager to bounce back after going into the international break following a shocking 3-0 defeat to Brighton.

Leeds drew against Crystal Palace to maintain their unbeaten start to the league this season.

Mikel Arteta could be without Jurrien Timber this weekend after the defender’s comments on his fitness.

Timber pointed out that after many discussions with the medical team, his aim this season is to avoid more injuries. Which is likely that the Gunners will manage his games in an effort to keep him off the injury list.

The defender told reporters after the Netherlands’ game against Greece that he will try and avoid anymore setbacks this season.

‘I have to be very smart about the steps we take.

‘Otherwise, I’ll suffer a setback, and I don’t want that.

‘I want to play every game and take part in every training session.

‘However, the physios advise me on what is best for me. So, I need to listen to them carefully.’

The Dutchman started just one of the three games for his country during the international break, but it is unclear whether he will be in line to play on Saturday.

Can Daniel Farke’s side get a result at the Emirates?

Last season is far different from this season. Arsenal did the double over Daniel Farke and the Whites, but there is a lot to believe that this weekend will be different.

Leeds kept the core of their team and improved on some areas of the team in the transfer window.

The club have also navigated a very tough start to the season, playing Brighton Bretford and Newcaslte in their first five games. Getting ninne points from a possible 15 in that run is very commendable.

Add that to the fact that the Whites have not lost a away game in the league since March, there is some belief.

Now Farke must hope his players are able to execute the game plan when it matters.
