Leeds United are considering another attacking addition as Daniel Farke looks to strengthen his options, with reports in Spain suggesting the club are preparing to make a serious move for one of Sevilla’s emerging talents.
The Whites have been keeping a close eye on the Spanish market and appear willing to invest in a player whose reputation has grown considerably over the past year. However, a complication could affect how quickly Leeds are prepared to act.
The player in question is currently recovering from a significant injury, meaning the Elland Road hierarchy may have to be patient before committing to a deal.

Leeds ready to make decisive move for Miguel Sierra

According to Spanish outlet Orgullo Biri via Sport Witness, Leeds are seriously considering triggering Miguel Sierra’s €20m release clause, which is worth around £17m.
The 22-year-old initially joined Sevilla’s reserve team in 2024 before making his senior debut last November. He had limited opportunities last season, managing just 58 minutes across five appearances.
However, Sierra has made considerable progress this term, registering two goals and an assist in eight matches. His performances appear to have attracted attention from several clubs, with Leeds among those closely following his development.
The winger signed a new contract until 2029 in April, with Sevilla protecting their asset through a €20m release clause. His market value has also risen sharply, from €300,000 in June to €7m, reflecting his progress.
Leeds have one obvious concern. Sierra suffered an injury during Sevilla’s 3-3 draw against Levante on October 12 and subsequently underwent surgery. He is expected to spend an extended period on the sidelines, making it unlikely that Leeds will rush into a deal before assessing his recovery.
The Whites could wait until he returns to full fitness before making their decisive move. There is also no indication yet of whether Sierra would be interested in moving to England.

Sierra interest could spell trouble for Bahoya

Leeds’ reported interest in another winger could also have implications for Jean-Matteo Bahoya.
The Frenchman has struggled to make an impression since arriving at Elland Road, managing just two substitute appearances and only a handful of minutes on the pitch.
Leeds have an obligation to buy him if he reaches a specific appearance threshold, but his lack of involvement raises questions about whether Farke sees him as a long-term part of his plans.
If Leeds are seriously considering spending around £17m on Sierra, it would suggest they are still looking for alternatives on the wings rather than committing to Bahoya.
That would be particularly worrying for the Frenchman, who needs opportunities to convince Farke that he deserves a permanent move. Leeds may not have made a final decision, but pursuing another winger would hardly improve his chances of establishing himself at Elland Road.
