Leeds rejected SIX bids for United player

Football Insider has revealed that Leeds United rejected multiple offers for attacker Sam Greenwood before the transfer window closed.

As many as six Championship clubs tried to sign the teenager in the window, but Leeds were having none of it whilst Greenwood himself wanted to stay.

The striker has only been at Elland Road since last summer after making the move from Arsenal for a fee of almost £3 million.

Greenwood debuted in the FA Cup for Leeds last season and also finished top scorer for their Under-23s in their title-winning campaign, but has only been on the substitute’s bench once for Leeds’ opening-day Premier League defeat at Man United.

He has also scored one goal and assisted another in two starts for the Under-23s in Premier League 2.
