The international break draws closer at Elland Road, and one Leeds United star has made the cut while being injured.
Daniel Farke’s men still have one game to play before the international break. Leeds are up against a rejuvenated Spurs side with Roberto De Zerbi at the helm. After a poor start to the season, the London club have now strung three league wins in a row and are unbeaten in four games.
They are playing better and looking much sharper than their opponents which will be a real worry for Farke’s men.
Leeds on the other hand are becoming a very worrying outfit; no wins since September and their defeat to Bournemouth over the weekend raised a lot of questions. Saturday sees them back at Elland Road as they host Spurs, but that match could set the tone for them ahead of the fixtures in the festive period.

This week will see many national teams call up players for the final international break of the year.
The last break was a long one that spanned over three weeks, and some Leeds players came back with knocks. But this time around, there are just two fixtures for most sides during the period.

Wales have called up five Leeds United players for Nations League games against Portugal and Norway: Ethan Ampadu, Harry Wilson, Dan James, Joe Rodon and Jayden Lienou have all been included.
Rodon’s inclusion comes as a bit of a shock as the defender has not played a competitive game since the end of August.
Daniel Farke’s last update on the player was that he is back in training but is still doing rehab.
“He just needs session after session after being out for so long but a way better situation than it was last week. So probably too soon for this weekend but sooner rather than later.” Farke said before the Bournemouth game.

Not great news for the Whites
Calling Rodon up is not the best news for his club side; he has been out for so long so for the national team to rush him to feature in two games in the space of a week is not advisable.
Hopefully Farke and the Leeds medical team can liaise with Craig Bellamy to find a solution.
Playing Rodon right after a major injury could risk him aggravating it.
But Farke did say the player was close to being ready ‘sooner than later’. Whatever decision is made should not hamper the player’s fitness going forward.
