Leeds United have revamped their recruitment since they were promoted to the Premier League. The focus was on getting value for money, and that looks to have worked so far.

The Whites have gotten some quality players from top European clubs for very moderate transfer fees. Dominic Calvert-Lewin, Lukas Nmecha and Anton Stach have been some of the successes so far. Many will point to the club’s recruitment as the main reason why they have a chance staying in the Premier League this season.

Last season, Daniel Farke’s connections also played a huge part in the club getting promoted. The Leeds boss was crucial in bringing in Ao Tanaka, and convincing Manor Solomon to join the team on loan. Both played major roles in promotion, and clinching the league title.

Leeds United in race to sign new striker this summer

The Whites could look to Germany again this summer. Per reports, Borussia Mönchengladbach’s Haris Tabaković is on the radar for Leeds United. News has emerged over the last month that the club is ready to spend on a new center forward. Dominic Calvert-Lewin’s goal drought pushed the team to consider options ahead of the summer.

The Bosnian striker has been a revelation on loan at Hoffenheim this season, scoring 13 league goals. Rheinische Post have revealed that Lille and Wolfsburg are among the other clubs interested in signing the 31-year old this summer. Gladbach would like to keep him, and will make a decision at the end of the season. Tabakovic’s price tag is said to be around £4.4 million, making him a very attractive prospect for the Whites.

49ers right to focus on the attack

There are many holes in the team, with the recruitment set to make some huge decisions when the summer comes around. Many loanees will return, with the club needing to make a decision on their futures. Three goalkeepers are also out of contract in the coming months, which could see a new signing in goal.

But the attack has to be priority after this season. Leeds United have struggled to score goals, and that has affected them in a lot of games. Nmecha and Calvert-Lewin cannot carry the goalscoring load alone. It has been shocking how the rest of the team have not managed to contribute in front of goal in this campaign. Getting some firepower could do wonders for Daniel Farke and this team next season.
