It was a long journey back to the top flight for Leeds United, and Daniel Farke has been a huge part of it. A Whites legend has given his thoughts on the current boss at Elland Road.
Back in 2023, the German was tasked with bringing the team back to the Premier League.
His record at Norwich City proved that he was a coach capable of winning promotion, but his record in the top flight was not promising. Within the space of two seasons, Farke had built a team that reached the play-off finals.
They lost, but they made it back to the Premier League the following season in style.
Leeds scored over 80 goals and hit the 100-point mark in the league on their way to winning the league on the final day.

The Whites had a difficult start to the season when they were promoted. Things were not going well until Farke made some tweaks, that ended up saving the club’s season.
The Leeds United boss is off to a great start this year, with nine points from six games and just one defeat.
Leeds legend Gordon Strachan has offered his thoughts on Farke’s reign so far. The former Scotland boss has praised Farke for the job he has done, and how he brought the supporters together.
“I don’t think Leeds are a sleeping giant anymore. Leeds is a massive one-club city with incredible support,” said Strachan (quoted by Yahoo Sports).
“With the new stadium expansion plans I’d say they certainly have the potential to re-establish themselves among the top clubs in English football.
“What impresses me about Daniel Farke’s side is that the supporters recognize the team is giving everything on the pitch and they respond to that. This could be a really special season for Leeds and the future is looking bright there.”

Gordon Strachan is spot on speaking about the team and Daniel Farke.
His words pointed out how the fans should remain important on and off the pitch, and tips them to have a very good season. Some pundits have tipped Farke’s side to finish and that is looking realistic.
Leeds have started the season very well and their new players have hit the ground running.
They kept the core of the team together and have signed quality players to help the club fulfil their ambition. It is up to Farke and the players to deliver on the pitch going forward.
