Leeds United made their second signing of the summer official on Friday, completing a £34 million move for Tarik Muharemovic.
The Bosnia international arrives as the replacement for Pascal Struijk, who joined Brighton earlier in the transfer window, giving Daniel Farke a new option in the heart of defence.
Leeds have also added Harry Wilson on a free transfer to strengthen their attack and are still looking to bring in a creative midfielder as they continue to reshape the squad ahead of the new season.
However, signing a goalkeeper has now become a priority for Leeds after Karl Darlow’s departure, but they are set to lose out on a top target this summer.

Leeds United target has a preference
The Whites have been looking at several goalkeepers over the last few months, and may need to sign two shot-stoppers due to Lucas Perri’s insistence on leaving.
James Trafford is their top target, and the club are waiting to make a move for him now that the World Cup is over.
However, Leeds have other targets, and according to Sky Sports News, Leeds are interested in Royal Union Saint-Gilloise goalkeeper Kjell Scherpen.
The Dutch goalkeeper was previously at Brighton, and has rekindled his career in Belgian football since joining Union Saint-Gilloise in the summer of 2024.
He played a major role in winning the Belgian Cup and is now set to return to English football this summer.
However, he is likely to join Ipswich Town over Leeds in the ongoing summer transfer window.
According to Dutch magazine Voetbal International, Scherpen is not aware of any interest from Leeds at this stage of the summer.
He has made up his mind about joining Ipswich Town and is pushing for the move to Kenilworth Road in the ongoing window.
The final decision rests with the Belgian club, who are likely to sell him to the highest bidder.

It seems Kjell Scherpen has a clear preference for Ipswich Town. However, a decision has not been made over his future yet.
Leeds must make a compelling offer to Union Saint-Gilloise and work out an agreement with the Belgian giants over a fee for the goalkeeper.
They must first financially blow Ipswich out of the race, and then look to convince the 6ft 9 giant to move to Elland Road in the ongoing summer transfer window.
Leeds need two goalkeepers, and the addition of the huge goalkeeper would be a major boost for a squad that needs two goalkeepers before the season starts.
